Friendly: Tunisia Victorious over Iran
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Tunisia football team defeated Iran 2-0 in a warm-up match in Doha, Qatar, on Wednesday.
Naïm Sliti converted his penalty in the 85th minute and Ali Abdi scored the second goal four minutes later.
It was Iran’s last preparatory match ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Carlos Queiroz’s side had defeated Uruguay and Nicaragua and drawn with Senegal 1-1 in its last three friendly matches.
Iran has been drawn in Group B along with England, the US and Wales.
Team Melli will start the competition on November 21 against England.
