TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Iranian energy minister said that the government has taken serious steps to ensure the supply of the Hirmand (Helmand) River’s water resources.
With the planning made in this regard, Iran’s water rights from the Hirmand River will be pursued until achieving a final result, Ali Akbar Mehrabian said on Tuesday.
Following the special emphasis laid by President Ebrahim Raisi on pursuing Iran’s water rights from the river, an expert-level session was held with the participation of all responsible organizations in order to adopt new decisions in this respect, he added.
