Iran 3x3 Basketball Out of 2022 Asian Games
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s men’s 3x3 basketball team lost to Mongolia 16-15 on Saturday in the 2022 Asian Games quarterfinals.
Iran started the campaign with a 21-12 defeat against South Korea but beat the Maldives 22-6, Japan 22-13, Turkmenistan 19 -13 and India 19-17.
The men's 3-on-3 basketball tournament at the Games is being held at the Deqing Geographic Information Park Basketball Court, Hangzhou, China from September 25 to October 1.
The teams are restricted to under-23 players.
A record high of nearly 12,500 athletes from 45 countries and territories compete across 40 sports in the 2022 Asian Games.
Iran has sent 289 male and female athletes to the Games in 34 sports events.
