Iran’s Greco-Roman Wrestler Sohrabi Wins Bronze at Hangzhou

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian wrestler Danial Sohrabi of Iran claimed a bronze medal in the 2022 Asian Games on Wednesday.

He defeated China’s Lei Li in the men’s Greco-Roman 67kg bronze medal match.

Sohrabi had defeated wrestlers from North Korea and South Korea and lost to Kazakhstan’s representative in the semifinals.

A record high of nearly 12,500 athletes from 45 countries and territories compete across 40 sports in the 2022 Asian Games.

Iran has sent 289 male and female athletes to the Games in 34 sports events.
