Women’s Kabaddi Coach Abdollahbakhsh Not Happy for Winning Bronze
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Women’s kabaddi coach Salimeh Abdollahbakhsh is not satisfied after the team failed to advance to the final match of the 2022 Asian Games.
Team Melli Banovan lost to Chinese Taipei 35-24 in the Games’ semifinals on Friday.
“We wanted to defend our gold medal but failed to do that and I am very sorry for what we did,” Abdollahbakhsh said.
“I think we needed more warm-up games but just held a training camp in India. It was not enough for repeating the gold,” she added.
“We deserved to book a place in the final but showed a poor performance against Chinese Taipei and I am very sorry,” Abdollahbakhsh concluded.
