Iran’s Alamiyan, Shahsavari Secure Spot at 2024 Olympic Games
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian table tennis players Nima Alamiyan and Neda Shahsavari secured their spot at the 2024 Olympic Games.
Nima Alamiyan defeated his brother Noshad 4-1 in the Central Asia Regional Olympic Qualification.
Iranian female table tennis player Shahsavari also defeated Sarvinoz Mirkadirova from Kazakhstan 4-3 to book her place in the Olympics.
The Olympic Qualification was held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan from May 17 to 19.
A total of 18 athletes from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Iran, Turkmenistan, and Kyrgyzstan participated in the competition.
