Paykan Relegated from 2023-24 IPL
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Paykan football team was relegated from the 2023-24 Iran Professional League (IPL) on Saturday.
The Tehran-based football team lost to Esteghlal 2-0 in Tehran’s Dastgerdi Stadium.
Sanat Naft Abadan had been previously relegated from the IPL.
Persepolis also won the title for the ninth time, edging past Mes 1-0 in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium.
Two teams from Azadegan League will secure promotion to IPL in the coming weeks.
