Iran’s Hedayati Seizes Gold at Budapest Ranking Series
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Fardin Hedayati of Iran won a gold medal at the Budapest Ranking Series Saturday night.
He earned stylish victory over Iakobi Kajaia in the 130kg weight class, beating his Georgian opponent 5-0.
The bronze medals went to Hungarian Darius Attila Vitek and Romania’s Alin Alexuc Ciurariu.
Mehdi Mohsennejhad and Amir Reza Dehbozorgi had also won a silver and a bronze medal in 60kg, while Meysam Dalkhani claimed a bronze medal in 63kg.
This is the last UWW Ranking Series event of the season, giving athletes a final chance to up their ranking prior to the Olympic Games.
