10-Man Iran Held by Uzbekistan in 2024 CAFA U-20 Championship
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw against Uzbekistan in the 2024 CAFA U-20 Championship on Tuesday.
Ali Hassani scored the only goal for Iran in the match.
Hossein Abdi’s side, who has already defeated Turkmenistan 3-0, advanced to the final as Group B topper.
Group A consists of Tajikistan, Afghanistan and Kyrgyzstan.
The 2nd edition of the Championship is organized by the Central Asian Football Association (CAFA) for the men's under-20 national teams of Central Asia.
Uzbekistan is the defending champion, winning the title in the inaugural edition.
The final match will be held on Friday.
The competition is held in Jalal-Abad, Kyrgyzstan.
