Saipa Loses to NEC in 2024 Asian Women's Club Volleyball Championship

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian club Saipa was defeated against Japan’s NEC Red Rockets Kawasaki 3-1 (25-27, 25-12, 25-18, 25-14) in Pool B of the 2024 Asian Women's Club Volleyball Championship on Monday.

Saipa had lost to the Philippines’ Monolith Sky Risers 3-1 in its opening match.

The Iranian side will meet Vietnam’s LP Bank Ninh Binh on Tuesday.

Pool A consists of Thailand’s Nakhonratchasima Qmin, Hong Kong’s Kwai Tsing, Kuanysh of Kazakhstan and Duc Giang Chemical Club of Vietnam.

All participating teams compete in the eight-day championship to vie for top honor and two slots on offer for the 2024 FIVB Women’s Club World Championship, due to be held in China from December 17 to 22.
