At Least 45 Palestinians Killed in Latest Israeli Strikes across Gaza

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – As Israel’s siege on northern Gaza intensifies, at least 45 Palestinians were killed in a new wave of airstrikes, with explosions targeting homes and refugee camps across the territory.

Among the victims, 14 were reported dead in two separate air raids in the Bani Suheila neighborhood, located east of Khan Younis, and the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza.

Al Jazeera’s team in Gaza reported three additional deaths and multiple injuries from an airstrike in the Birkat Abu Rashid neighborhood of Jabalia, in northern Gaza.

The death toll in another strike on a house in al-Faluja, located in the Jabalia refugee camp, has risen to 11, according to Palestinian health officials.

The death toll in another strike on a house in al-Faluja, located in the Jabalia refugee camp, one of Gaza’s eight historic refugee camps, has risen to 11, while 10 others lost their lives in Bani Suheila after an Israeli missile hit a home in the area.

Al Jazeera’s Anas al-Sharif, reporting from the scene, confirmed that the Israeli airstrike on Birkat Abu Rashid killed at least three people and wounded several others. Rescuers were seen scrambling to assist survivors, with one man carrying an injured child from the heavily damaged building.

Earlier in the day, it was reported that the death toll from Israeli attacks across Gaza had reached 29 since the strikes began on Tuesday morning.

The Israeli army stated it launched at least 30 airstrikes on Gaza within the last 24 hours.

In the northern Gaza Jabalia refugee camp, Israeli troops escalated their ground invasion on the 11th day of the operation. According to residents, soldiers planted explosive-filled barrels around buildings to destroy homes, while the area came under further attack from drones and artillery fire. Dozens of Palestinian families remain trapped, and the wounded are unable to be evacuated due to ongoing military operations.

Sources reported that medical teams attempting to reach the affected areas were targeted by drones, and soldiers continued firing at anyone trying to move in the northern Gaza regions of al-Balad, an-Nazla, Beit Lahiya, and Beit Hanoon.

Earlier Tuesday, an Israeli airstrike destroyed three houses in the Sabra suburb of northern Gaza City. Two bodies were recovered, but 12 people are still missing and believed to be trapped under the rubble.

Another airstrike in southern Gaza claimed the lives of at least 10 members of one family while they were sleeping. Casualties were transferred to Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis.

In the Nuseirat refugee camp, five more Palestinians were killed when another home was struck.

According to the civil defense agency, seven members of the al-Sayed family were killed by Israeli fire in the al-Faluja area of Jabalia. Their bodies were buried in their family home, and five additional bodies were later recovered from the neighborhood’s streets.

An estimated 400,000 residents remain trapped in northern Gaza as the Israeli siege enters its 11th day, with the army continuing its large-scale operation.

The Palestinian Health Ministry reports that the death toll from the yearlong Israeli war in Gaza now stands at 42,344, with 99,013 Palestinians wounded. At least 55 people have been killed in the past 24 hours, although officials warn the true number is likely much higher due to the widespread destruction caused by Israeli airstrikes.
