Hamas Says Israeli 'Generals' Plan' in Northern Gaza 'Doomed to Failure'

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Palestinian resistance movement Hamas condemned Israel's military strategy for northern Gaza, stating that its so-called "Generals' Plan," which aims to intensify the siege and starve the region, is bound to fail.

Hamas issued a statement on Wednesday denouncing Israel's military campaign in northern Gaza, which has been ongoing for over a week.

According to the resistance group, Israel has deployed hundreds of military vehicles and thousands of troops in the area, utilizing heavy firepower in an attempt to implement the plan.

The strategy, Hamas said, seeks to further isolate the region by cutting off humanitarian aid to hundreds of thousands of Palestinians and labeling those who remain in the area as combatants.

This would allow Israeli forces to target and eliminate them after declaring the region a "closed military zone."

The group reported that more than 342 Palestinians, primarily women and children, have been killed during the campaign.

Hamas described the plan as "one of the most degenerate, brutal, and Nazi military plans in modern history," devised by "fascist generals devoid of human morals," and condemned it as a violation of international laws and humanitarian norms.

However, the resistance group asserted that the plan would ultimately fail, thanks to the resilience of the Palestinian people and the resistance's determination.

The failure, Hamas stated, would mirror previous unsuccessful attempts by Israel to achieve its goals in Gaza, despite the regime's ongoing genocidal war following the al-Aqsa Storm operation last October.

Despite the war killing over 42,300 Palestinians, Hamas emphasized that Israel has not achieved its goals of eliminating the resistance or retrieving the captives.

Hamas also blamed the United States for supporting Israeli crimes, accusing Washington of enabling the regime's genocidal war.

The movement dismissed US calls for Tel Aviv to halt the aggression, stating that without concrete pressure on Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, these calls are merely part of the broader strategy to continue the war against Palestinians.
