Iran’s Eghbali Wins Gold at Asian Cross Country Championship
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Samir Eghbali from Iran claimed a gold medal in the Asian Cross Country Championship on Tuesday.
His compatriot Pouria Eshaghi also won the bronze medal in the discipline.
The 16th edition of the Asian Cross Country Championship is being held on Tuesday at the Gokarna Forest Resort in Kathmandu, Nepal.
A total of 65 athletes from 11 nations - Nepal, India, Bangladesh, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong, Iran, Japan, Kazakhstan, Maldives, Pakistan and Thailand - are participating in the championship, organized by Nepal Athletics Association under the auspices of Asian Athletics Association.
Iran’s junior team finished in second place behind India.
