2023 Para Athletics World Championships: Mohammadian Collects Silver
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Sajad Mohammadian won a silver medal at the 2023 Para Athletics World Championship on Monday.
Mohammadian finished in second place with a throw of 14.38 meters in the Men's Shot Put F63.
Britain’s Aled Davies took the gold medal with 16.16 meters.
The bronze medal went to Edenilson Roberto with 14.06 meters.
Iranian shot putters Mehdi Olad, Rashid Masjedi and Yasin Khosravi as well as Javelin thrower Saeid Afrooza won four gold medals in the competitions held in Paris, France from July 9 to 17.
Long jumper Amir Khosravani, javelin throwers Ali Prouj, Sadegh Beit Sayah, Elham Salehi, Olad (discus throw) also claimed five silver medals and javelin thrower Hashemieh Motaghian and shot putter Hadi Kaeidi seized two bronzes.
