Russian Firms Invited to Invest in Iran’s Tourism Infrastructures

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s envoy to Russia referred to tourism as one of the capacities for the development of ties between the two countries, inviting Russian companies to invest in Iran’s tourism infrastructures.

Speaking in a meeting held with the participation of Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Ali Baqeri and some ranking officials of Russia on the sidelines of the 15th International Economic Forum "Russia-Islamic World" in Kazan, the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan, Kazem Jalali pointed to the investment of Russian companies in the tourism infrastructures of the countries of the region and added that Iran welcomes Russian firms willing to invest in the construction of hotels and tourism infrastructures in Iran, IRNA reported.

He further pointed out that Iran is ready to provide Russian investors with the required facilities.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Jalali referred to the measures taken in recent years to increase the number of flights between cities of the two countries and added that different Iranian cities like Shiraz, Isfahan, Rasht, and Tabriz have the capacity to launch direct flights to Russin cities.

Launching a direct flight from Kazan to Iran is on the agenda and a Russian company has expressed its readiness in this regard, the envoy added.
