Iran Defeats Australia at 2023 FIH Indoor Hockey World Cup
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s men’s team defeated Australia 6-4 in the FIH Indoor Hockey World Cup South Africa 2023 on Tuesday.
Iran was defeated against Argentina 5-4 in Pool B in its opening match and defeated the US 8-3 in its second match.
Team Melli is scheduled to play South Africa on Wednesday.
The competition started in Pretoria on February 5 and will run until February 11.
Iran is in Pool B along with the Czech Republic, the US, Australia, South Africa and Argentina.
The top-four teams from each group will advance to the quarter-finals.
